The person focused on the game/video, in this case a kid, more than likely would not be paying attention to what’s written on the sign because their minds are focused on the object in front them or as in this case, trying to find the location/guide on the map, however the visual brain would subconsciously receive the message which would be processed at a later time when it becomes relevant.
Once society uses subliminal messages to influence your mind to a certain point, it can control your thought patterns to a certain degree without your knowledge.
