Today has not gone as planned for the trip home. First the flight from Malta to Amsterdam had mechanical problems after boarding and they had to change planes. This caused us to miss our connecting flight to Minneapolis. Got rebooked through Seattle to Minneapolis which got delayed 2 hours due to the arriving flight being late. We had to return to the gate after taxiing to the runway due to mechanical issues. After 3 hours of maintenance updates the flight was finally cancelled and they let us off the plane. Next is the line as shown waiting to get a hotel room voucher from the airline. Two hours later finally in the room. Now have to wait for a rebooking email with new flight details. Hopefully they rebook soon before retiring. I know it’s best to find an issue with the plane before taking off. Just wish it wasn’t today on both flight legs.

I visited my cousin Frank and his daughter today in Pieta, Malta. They used to live in Canada and relocated back to Malta several years ago We remembered and reminessed many wonderful family memories growing up across from each other in Detroit and Windsor. Franks father was my maternal grandmother’s uncle. So blessed to maintain these family links.
