Well folks, it truly is an end of an era. I am watching the workmen slowly removing the roof of our old office block in Marion crescent. Evidently we are going to have 10 luxury apartments there instead.
So now we only have our memories.........
coming down Poverest Rd and seeing June Hunter at the counter of the Bradford and Bingley Building Society on the corner
seeing the sheet banner for Vics 50th flapping away out of his office window
Phillip Haylett wandering around pulling weeds out of the car park
Anne Attwood walking around with her watering can watering the plants in the offices
the boys in the motor dept stinking out the offices with their fish and chips or Pizza on Friday lunch times.
the filing ladies running out in the rain to the garages out the back where we stored our archiving files
and so many more.....
POST some memories for us all to laugh about and remember fondly
its with much sadness I have to tell you that we have list one of our gang, Don Mew who worked for THB for many years passed away on 11th August 2016. His nephew David has advised that the funeral will be on the 5th Sept and if anyone wants to go but doesn't yet gave the details leave a message on this post and I will get back to you. God bless "aunty Don"
