It’s probably just a nod to the “phone-addicted teen” trope. Ennui can use the console but doesn’t bother—she does things her own way. A book cover even shows her at the console, so she’s clearly not stuck to the couch.

I do wonder if her phone does more, like how Anger had Riley’s life updates in newspaper form—maybe her phone works the same way.
