Congrats to my grandson #carsonvickers How do you put words to this. I really can’t. Carson has spent countless hours learning about hunting. Countless hours in a stand not seeing anything course after a few mins he will nap with the best of them. He’s been a trooper for a 7 year old kid i tell ya. He’s eat up with it to say the least. For the past few weeks every weekend we’ve hunted long hours freezing our toes off but he stayed strong. Last night in the last 15 mins or so of doe season it all became real. We have over 9 mins of video on the ATN X-Sight, X-Sight II, 4k, 4k Pro Owners-Reviews-Solutions and Tips. He stayed calm the entire time. The last 2 seconds of video he appeared to be a low shot. It was so hard to tell we decided to play it safe and back out until this morning. I was there at the crack of dawn to look for this oh so hard hunted deer and i found her about 150 yards from where we shot. He had made a great 130 yard shot. The joy hit me so hard i just cried. I wish he could have been there with me but he had to go to school. The anxious waiting for him to get out of school brought back a ton of memories from my early years it was overwhelming for those of you that understand. I owe so much to so many friends and family for supporting us and the encouraging words and to my wife for putting up with us being away every weekend. The memories we have made this year will never be forgotten. I thank the Lord for blessing us with such precious time together. Carson is now a professional hunter so if anyone needs lessons he’s asked me to book his story telling time.

Every trip we used the #scentcrusher products. I assure you the deer that came in never smelled us and many times looked right at us

The ATN X-Sight Digital Night Vision Scopes played a huge roll. I could watch what he was seeing in the scope from my phone and advise him and we recorded it all from the scope. #pureawesome

The #bogdeathgrip Tripod was hugely instrumental in him shooting such a big gun. #savagearms6.8spc #hornadyblack 110 grain bullet did the trick with a single shot

This post may be long but it was a joy to be along for the ride. Many of you comment on our post and snaps rooting and praying for him to get his deer. Well thanks to each of you. It all worked out. He and i both learned so much in this mission

Sometimes you just have to sit back and admire the uniqueness of a whitetail deer as no two hunts or deer are ever alike. #deerhunting #teamoutdoors #whitetaildeer #huntgarmin #yamahaoutdoors #trijiconhunt #tcarms #bassproshops #cabelas

This scene should be familiar to most folks who fish in Corpus Christi Bay during winter, and to duck hunters familiar with the Shamrock/Mustang Island flats. Photos simple cannot capture the spectacle of thousands of mostly redhead ducks rafting then rising from the bay. Dave Allen
