Lilith, the mythical demoness, is one character that sends shivers down my spine. Legend has it that she was Adam's first wife, but she wasn't the subservient type.

Instead of obeying Adam's demands, she demanded equality and refused to be submissive. That must have been quite a shock for poor old Adam, who was used to having the final say.

No wonder Lilith ended up being banished to the wilderness, where she spent her days terrorizing innocent travellers.

If you ever find yourself lost in the woods and hear a cackling laugh, just hope it's not Lilith playing a trick on you. Although knowing her sense of humour, she might just be pulling your leg, or perhaps your entire body.
